Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce has (sigh) come to an end. Just as viewers are sad to see the funny, moving, spirited show go, so are its cast members — and several of them took to social media to bid a fond farewell to the series after its last episode aired. From what they let on, the actors were just as sniffly as you were during the broadcast.
When a fan tweeted at Lisa Edelstein (who played Abby) that she had "KILLED" her character in the show, Lisa responded: "Thanks a million! What a wonderful compliment. We just finished watching and are a bit weepy and happy and sad and weepy and happy. And sad." Yep, we can relate.
Lisa also tweeted a photo of herself with all her castmates, and wrote, "I will miss telling these stories with you!"
Other cast members to pay homage to the show on social media included Necar Zadegan, who played Delia. To caption a throwback shot of the cast, Necar wrote in part: "[It's] been a wildly fun 5 seasons alongside these beautiful women I’ve adored."
Beau Garrett, who played Phoebe, posted a glam photo of the GG2D ladies in evening gowns. Read her heartfelt reflection on the series, below — and watch the video above to hear her chat more about bidding adieu to the character of Phoebe.
Though everyone is sad to see the show go, its main players are also taking the ending in stride. Speaking with The Daily Dish earlier this month, Lisa said: "I think that all shows should have an end. Great shows should definitely know when they're ending. So when you know you have an end, when you know you're building towards something, you can really write to it. I think it improves the writing, it improves the performances. Everybody knows that they only have a limited amount of time playing these roles. It changes everything."
